A global retail experience
As part of the Retail Demo and Growth team within Meta Reality Labs, I led the end-to-end design of the retail experience for the Meta AI Glasses, spanning both the in-store demo and companion web experience. My work helped customers understand how AI could fit into their everyday lives through an entirely new category of wearable technology.
The goal of the demo was to teach customers how to use the Meta AI Glasses, introduce key features, and build awareness of the product in just a few minutes on the retail floor. In stores, customers could try on the glasses while using the demo and discover how the product could seamlessly fit into their everyday lives. Beyond the retail floor, I also led the companion web experience, extending the retail experience with virtual try-on and product education. Together, these experiences resulted in a 34% increase in purchase intent in stores with a connected demo.
In addition to the customer-facing experience, I led the end-to-end design of the Retailer Settings platform, the operational system that powered demo deployment and support in retail stores worldwide. I simplified complex operational tasks into intuitive workflows, enabling retail associates to provision devices, perform diagnostics, manage software updates, and quickly resolve issues in store.
The experience launched in more than 30,000 retail locations worldwide and was localized into 13 languages. By combining intuitive product education with scalable operational tooling, the retail demo transformed a complex AI product into an accessible, hands-on experience that increased purchase intent and empowered both customers and retail associates.
